About Me

My name is Len Schendel. I am an Instructional Technology Specialist (which means I teach teachers) at Lake Creek High School. Like many others at Lake Creek I serve in multiple roles multiple roles to fulfill the many needs of this new campus, including teaching all A/V Technology courses and I am also the chair of the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department Chair.

About Me:

Originally from south Texas, I come from a long line of farmers and ranchers, and grew up on a family-owned dairy near Runge, Texas. I also claim roots to Somerset, Texas where I graduated from high school. I am proud of my upbringing as it taught me the value of hard work and an appreciation to take care of the things you have.

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned my teaching degree. I later took an online program through the University of Phoenix to earn a Master's degree in Education with focus on Curriculum and Technology.

My teaching career began in the 1998-99 school year where I taught every Social Studies course there is and have experience in many other subject areas including English, Computer Programming, Web Technology, Desktop Publishing, Networking; I even filled in as a High School Librarian for a semester. I served in my next school district as the Technology Director before coming to Montgomery ISD in 2014.

My wife and I have two children, whom I adore. In our spare time we are active in a national non-profit support organization for families and parents of children with congenital heart defects.
