✅ Who can apply for a parking spot?
Only 10th, 11th, and 12th graders with a
valid Texas Driver License (not a permit) and
proof of insurance may apply.
You must be classified in one of these grades by August 8, 2025.
📝 How do I apply for a parking permit?
- Complete the online application on
MySchoolBucks with:
- Vehicle details (Make, Model, Color, License Plate #)
- Upload a copy of your valid Texas Driver License
- Upload proof of insurance (company, policy number, expiration date)
- School ID number and grade level
- Signed Parking Rules and Regulations acknowledgment
- Pay $75 on
MySchoolBucks.
Second semester rate: $40 (for students who get their license mid-year)
- Email copies of your driver’s license & insurance to
[email protected].
- Pick up your parking hangtag during schedule pick-up
if all requirements are complete.
🚦 When does registration open?
Parking registration opens Thursday, July 10 at 8:00 AM.
Spots are assigned in the order payments are received—earlier payments = closer spots within your grade’s section.
📍 Where will I park?
You’ll be assigned a spot in the Gold or Navy lots, within your grade-level section. Always park in your assigned space.
If someone is in your spot:
- Navy Lot: Park in spots #968–977
- Gold Lot: Park in spots #315–319
Report the violator’s license plate to the AP’s office (B1117).
📋 What are the parking rules?
- Hangtag must be displayed on your rear-view mirror.
- Register new or temporary vehicles immediately.
- Do not sell, lend, or give your tag to anyone.
- Only licensed drivers with a paid spot can park on campus.
- Do not park in handicapped spots (unless permitted), fire zones, bus ramps, faculty/visitor lots, or behind Ag/Mechanical classrooms.
⚠️ What happens if I break the rules?
Warnings & Suspensions:
- 1st Failure to display tag or park in assigned spot: Warning
- 2nd: 1 After School Detention
- 3rd: 1 Saturday School
- 4th: 2 Saturday Schools
- More: Parking Suspension
5 Day Suspension:
- 5 tardies to 1st period
- 3 unexcused absences
- Unregistered vehicle
- Truancy
- 1st safety/moving violation
10 Day Suspension:
- 10 tardies to 1st period
- 6 unexcused absences
- 2nd safety/moving violation
- 2nd truancy
Permanent Suspension:
- 15 tardies to 1st period
- 9 unexcused absences
- Second DAEP assignment
- Parking while suspended
- Selling, giving away, or lending your tag
- 3rd safety/moving violation
Note: Tardies/absences reset at semester, not each nine weeks.
Parking fees are not refunded if privileges are revoked.
🚧 What are the safety & driving rules?
- Speed limit: 15 mph.
- No loitering before or after school.
- No reckless or aggressive driving.
- No riding on top of vehicles or in truck beds.
- Do not pull in front of buses during dismissal.
- Enter through Door 28 (Gold Lot) or Door 36 (Navy Lot) each morning.
🚗 What if there’s an accident in the lot?
- Report any damage immediately to the AP’s office (B1117).
- If you hit another car, do not move vehicles. Exchange info & contact AP’s office: 936-276-4018.
- Do not leave without reporting or you may lose your parking privileges.
- LCHS is not responsible for damage or loss. Always lock your car & hide valuables.
